Project Overview
In September 2020, I took part in the early-stage exploration and development of a new business direction for the company: lending and credit. The project aimed to expand the company’s business scope, leveraging its existing technology and user base to enter the lending side of fintech. As a backend developer, I contributed to the project’s early technical research and to the design and implementation of its core backend services.
Technical Architecture
- Core framework:
Spring Boot - Programming language:
Java
Key Contributions
1. Business Understanding and Technical Research
Early in the project, I quickly learned and grasped the core logic and workflows of the lending and credit business, laying a solid foundation for the technical implementation that followed.
2. Backend Service Development
I was responsible for designing and developing part of the project’s core backend services. Although the logs don’t record the specific modules in detail, based on the nature of the project they most likely involved the interface and logic implementation for modules such as user credit assessment, loan applications, repayment plans, and billing management.
Project Summary
Although my time on the project was short and it was still at a very early stage, the experience was deeply meaningful to me. It marked the moment I began to engage with and think about fintech at a deeper level. Instead of only implementing already-defined features, I started taking part in the zero-to-one exploration of a brand-new business. This experience extended my understanding of financial products from “transactions” to “credit,” and built up valuable business insight and project experience for my future growth in the fintech field.
