Project Overview

“Huatong App” is the core project to which you devoted the most energy and took the broadest responsibility in 2020. As one of the project leads, you saw it through the entire journey from kickoff and development to launch and continuous iteration. The app is a user-facing securities trading app for Hong Kong and US stocks, covering market data, online trading, user management, margin-based IPO subscriptions, and more. You not only led the iOS client development but later became deeply involved in designing and building its backend services, demonstrating excellent full-stack skills and project ownership.

Key Contributions

1. Building the iOS Client from 0 to 1

  • Architecture and development: You built the entire app framework from scratch and developed its core modules, including market data, trading, news, and the profile section.
  • Technical problem-solving: Researched and implemented the full workflows of Apple enterprise distribution, TestFlight distribution, and App Store release, resolving a wide range of tricky signing, packaging, and review issues.
  • Performance and UX optimization: Continuously improved the app’s performance and UI/UX, such as dark mode support, candlestick chart rendering and push updates, and web container optimization, enhancing the user experience.

2. Implementing Complex Business Features

  • Trading core: Implemented complex trading features such as call auction, conditional orders, margin trading and short selling, and order modification and cancellation, with deep integration into the Hundsun backend services.
  • Internationalization and multi-account: Led the development of the app’s multi-language (i18n) version and multi-account management features, meeting the needs of a broader range of users.
  • Security: Integrated face recognition, raising the security level of user accounts.

3. Backend Involvement and Contributions

  • From frontend to backend: As the project progressed, you gradually took on part of the backend development, connecting the whole chain from client to server.
  • Service development: You took part in designing and coding several core backend services, including User Center (Account), Trading (Stock), and **Quotation**.
  • Infrastructure: Made skilled use of Nacos as the service discovery and configuration center, Seata for distributed transactions, and Fastlane for automated packaging and deployment.
