2022 Spring Framework Learning Summary
2022-12-31
Introduction
2022 was the year I dug deep into the Spring framework. From Spring to Spring Boot to SpringCloud, a year of learning gave me a comprehensive understanding of the Spring ecosystem.
What I Learned
1. Spring Core Framework
At the start of the year, I began studying the Spring core framework systematically:
- Spring IoC container
- Spring AOP (aspect-oriented programming)
- Spring JDBC data access
- Spring transaction management
2. Spring Boot Microservices
A deep dive into Spring Boot:
- Auto-configuration mechanism
- Starter components
- Embedded web server
- Externalized configuration
3. SpringCloud for Distributed Systems
A first look at SpringCloud:
- Service registration and discovery
- Configuration center
- Load balancing
- Circuit breakers
Hands-On Practice
Applying Spring technologies in real projects:
- Built the message center project with Spring Boot
- Integrated the Spring framework into the help center project
- Used Spring transaction management in the lottery system
Key Takeaways
1. A More Complete Technical Toolkit
- Understood Spring’s design philosophy
- Mastered how to use Spring Boot
- Learned the ideas behind microservices architecture
2. Improved Development Efficiency
- Became proficient at scaffolding projects quickly with Spring Boot
- Mastered Spring’s commonly used annotations
- Improved both development efficiency and code quality
Looking Ahead
Plans for 2023 — keep learning in depth:
- The SpringCloud Alibaba ecosystem
- The Spring Security framework
- The various Spring Data implementations
- Reactive programming and WebFlux
As the core technology of the Java ecosystem, the Spring framework is something I will keep studying in depth to continuously improve my technical skills.
